The Holiday Season is fun and exciting. It is meant to be. It is easy to get caught up in the excitement and Spirit of giving. However, the hearts of folks during the holidays are easily swayed to give, making it an opportune time for fraud and scammers to attack. This episode addresses HOW To Detect and Report GIFT CARD scams
If you suspect a scam, don’t respond. Report it to your bank or company the scam is directed to by calling them directly or use their Fraud reporting email
Report it to the FCT at ReportFraud.ftc.gov Report it even if you didn't pay. Your report helps law enforcement. A police report may help when you deal with the card issuer.
