KJ Nasrul realized she was Asian when she was 11 years old. KJ has suffered bouts of depression throughout her life, most markedly at age 17. Today, KJ has turned in her notice and is leaving her corporate job to open the doors to her trauma-informed, expressive arts healing practice.

In this personal solo episode, [Tiny Astonishment], KJ shares what happened when she returned to her rituals of morning writing and musical composition. She found herself examining her roots including her Asian ethnicity and the prevalence of mental health issues in her life.

Today’s show is a celebration of reconnecting and rediscovering our inner wisdom and resources for healing, even in heartbreaking times.
