Chronic Lower & Complex Respiratory Conditions with Prof. Eric Yarnell
Manage episode 299071341 series 2664528
This month Julianne and Kristin are joined by Naturopathic Doctor, Prof. Eric Yarnell, as he discusses phytomedicines used to treat chronic and complex lower respiratory conditions. Eric shares with us the strategies he recommends to help reduce the effects of air pollution, as well as the use of pulmonary lymphagogues to protect the lungs, and the benefits of nebulising volatile oils for inhalation. He also chats about the importance of synergy and traditional use informing research and the clinical application of our herbal medicines. In this podcast you’ll find out why Eric uses other antimicrobial phytomedicines over berberine-containing herbs to treat lower respiratory infections and you'll hear Eric talk about Licorice, Turmeric, Manuka, Juniper, Cat's Claw, Hemidesmus, Gotu Kola, and more. This practical and insightful podcast provides a glimpse of what you can expect to learn from OptimalRx's Herbal Webinar Respiratory Series with Prof. Eric Yarnell.
Prof. Eric Yarnell has had a long history in naturopathic and herbal medicine. He graduated from Bastyr University in 1996, after which he completed a two-year residency with master herbalist and naturopathic physician Silena Heron in Arizona. He has served as senior and associate editor of the Journal of Naturopathic Medicine and has been in private practice or supervising students since 1997.
