You are what you consume... So what are you consuming? Twilight, Hunger Games, Maze Runner… Many of us grew up reading dystopia novels and watching zombie movies. Since opening my eyes to how words and marketing influences us from a young age, I’ve been going down the programming rabbit hole. What if we were fed these stories on purpose? What lessons are we taking from them? How can we become the superheroes we so admire? That's the theory behind Predictive Programming. On this episode, author coach Jami Christine and I discuss how we're seeing dystopia novels show up in today's worldwide shenanigans, how they influence us to make decisions (hello marketing), and where we can pull from these novels to give us hope. We go DEEP on how novels and movies programmed us to accept certain realities, how we're seeing gaslighting show up in our media, and how to distinguish between truth and manipulation... A few key lessons I took from Jami: Where love is, fear can't exist The lessons from our favorite superheroes How to re-write your story for fiction The only way to beat the "capitol" is to stand together AND MORE... Jami Christine is a bodyworker, storyworker and novelist. After her divorce, she woke up to the realization that she hadn't fully been living out her own life, dreams and ambitions. So she finally published her novel amidst a pandemic while also continuing to run her wellness center and massage therapy business, and is now pursuing furthering her career in mental health and Integrative Healing Arts through the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts.
