She explains what Hospice at Home is and how it differs from hospice care on an inpatient ward, highlighting why it is so vital by sharing examples of the positive impact it has had on patients and families, while also revealing her vision of Hospice at Home services in the future.
About Forest Holme Hospice:
Forest Holme Hospice provides palliative and end-of life-care and support to more than 1,500 people each year across Poole, Wimborne and the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset with advanced cancer and other life-limiting illnesses such as Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s, heart disease and respiratory illness.
Forest Holme Hospice Charity was set-up to ensure that everyone in the local community affected by a life-limiting illness or bereavement gets the care and support they need, either at home or in our dedicated hospice facility.
