Hey Mama - This episode is one of a very special few that I’ve decided to re-release as part of my maternity plan for the second half of 2022 because I loved the conversation so much. So whether you’re listening for the second time around or if you missed it when it first came out, I’m confident you’re gonna love this one too. Thanks for being here with me!
In this episode, I'm chatting with Sonali Vongchusiri. Sonali is a parent guide and founder of the much-loved Raising Your Strong-Willed Child series. She has a unique style that incorporates her own experience as a sensitive, high needs child turned parent of her own highly sensitive, strong-willed child. She combines heart-centered and empowering parenting approaches to bring a parent’s awareness to the challenges at the root of the unrest they feel. Ultimately, her passion is supporting parents to return to trust, connection, confidence, and delight in themselves and their relationship with their child.

In this episode you'll learn:

  • What it’s like to be a highly sensitive parent raising a highly sensitive child
  • The thing all Radical Mothers have in common with how we see our children
  • How to embrace the gift of strong-willed children and what they can teach us about ourselves
  • How to cultivate a strong connection between our heart and our mind to know what to do in any given parenting situation
  • How we can use play and humor to discharge stressful situations with our kids and help them establish safety
  • What to do when we don’t feel like playing, but our kids are seeking connection anyway

A radical mother is a woman poised in her power ready to disrupt cycles of generational trauma running through her family like wildfire. She's working to improve her life, the lives of her children, and shape the landscape of her community. If that's you - you're in the right place.
This podcast is designed to connect you with resources, inspiration, and the reminder that you are not alone as you embark on your journey of radical mothering.
I’m your host Christa Bevan and I’m a certified TRE provider (which stands for tension & trauma releasing exercises), trauma-informed yoga instructor, and also a dynamic self-care coach for moms. And of course, a fellow radical mother. My approach to this work blends neuroscience-backed tools and heart-centered intuition.
