Susun Weed answers 90 minutes of herbal health questions followed by a 30 minute interview with herbalist Laura Cascardi. Laura Cascardi's passion for herbalism, healing, and well-being is evident in her 20 + years of working with herbs and people. She began her formal education with herbs at Rocky Mountain Center of Botanical studies where she graduated in 2001 as a certified herbalist. In 2013 she graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Botany. In 2014, Laura co-founded the Equinox Center of Herbal Studies where she is the director and one of the primary teachers. At Equinox Center she hosts a full apothecary, an herb school, herbal consultations, free and donation based herbal classes, a free to access herbal library, art and live music with a goal of building community centered around herbalism. Laura's vision is to create access to herbs and herbalism in a varied and equitable way.
